Pre-Registration is required. Payment is due in full at the beginning of each course.
A non-refundable $50.00 deposit must accompany your registration for any group training. Information on where to send the payment, etc. will be provided as part of the registration process.
We accept Cash, Personal Checks, and USPS Money Orders only at this time.
We pay for the use of the classroom or meeting room, and Range facilities regardless of class size.
We obtain all of the course material in advance and therefore are unable to refund the deposit to reserve your space in a course.
NRA courses start at 8:00 AM, and typically last until 6:00 PM.
We take a break for lunch, and short breaks throughout the course.
ALL PRIVATE FIREARMS INSTRUCTION IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY AND TIMES MAY VARY DEPENDING ON COURSE CONTENT.
Responsible adults age 18 or older may take the course with no restrictions.
Since instructor(s) are full time Law Enforcement, small group courses are offered two to four times a year.
Our focus is Personalized Firearms Instruction. Private Instruction is offered by appointment for maximum retention of information and techniques.
Our maximum small group size is 6 students.
Instructor to student ratio on the range is typically 1 student to 1 instructor or up to 3 students to 1 instructor.
We offer small group courses based on the availability of classrooms and range facilities. Rather than increase the number of students per course and reduce the instructor to student ratio, we insist on keeping course sizes small to ensure the best training and a more personalized experience.
We suggest that you wear protective clothing since hot shell cases sometimes ricochet or fall into v-neck type shirts or blouses, halter tops, etc.
Information on what to bring to the course will be provided as part of the registration process.
Our classes will not be delayed for any non-functioning equipment. Our job is to teach. We ask that you arrive with functional equipment.
Please test your equipment before the course.
Yes. Upon arrival, please notify the instructor(s) that you brought your own pistol.
An instructor will perform a safety check and verify your pistol is unloaded, appears to be safe to use, and will ask you to return the pistol to the gun case and the designated “cased firearms area” or have you return it to your car during the lecture.
During range time, an instructor will test fire your gun to verify safe operation. If you are not familiar with your firearm, ask an instructor for details regarding it.
All ammunition must be Factory Ammunition. If you wish to bring reloaded ammunition, please contact us for approval prior to your class. Please leave all ammunition in your vehicle until range time. No ammunition is permitted in a classroom.
*Note: When transporting your gun to a course it must be unloaded and locked in your trunk or inside a locked container. A locking pistol case may be used instead of a locked container.
No. We have a few pair of shooting glasses, and hearing protection that you may rent from us for the course, but otherwise, it is your responsibility to come with all of the necessary equipment.
Please remember we are not a firearm rental business. We are teaching the safe use and handling of firearms.
You must be someone who is legally permitted to possess a firearm in California.
You may not take the courses if you are a person who has a conviction for any specified misdemeanor listed in the California Penal Code 29805 or for any felony, or is addicted to the use of any narcotic, drug, or has been held involuntarily as a danger to yourself or others pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Section 8103.
Various other prohibitions exist for mental conditions, domestic violence restraining/protective orders, conditions of probation, and parole, and offenses committed as a juvenile.
